“JOSEPH FORGIVES HIS BROTHERS”

The children at the Escuelita continue studying the Old Testament.

Now we saw the mercy that Joseph showed in the face of injustice by forgiving all the harm caused by his brothers when they sold him into slavery. A humility that arises from a desire to please God despite the offense.

We saw that forgiveness frees us from the harmful creatures that poison the soul, but it also makes us more humble people, which pleases God. We also observed God’s power to transform our story. God changed and used all the evil that was done to Joseph for a greater good. Similarly, our circumstances do not have the last word in our lives, but the power of God is indeed capable of changing realities and using what happens to us (adversities) to take us to a higher point where we can be used for His glory.

Thus, the children continue learning to know God through the events in the Old Testament and, in this way, their hearts are being taught to trust in Him.

Let us continue praying for the work of salvation in the hearts of La Sierra.

Genesis 45:4-5 NIV
[4] Then Joseph said to his brothers, “Come close to me.” When they had done so, he said, “I am your brother Joseph, the one you sold into Egypt! [5] And now, do not be distressed and do not be angry with yourselves for selling me here, because it was to save lives that God sent me ahead of you.
