This morning we continued with La Escuelita again, as last week it was not possible to do so due to the rain and intense cold in La Sierra. But today God granted us very favorable weather. However, some children were absent due to the flu virus that has them ill.
Here in the town, being a relatively small place with a cold climate where everyone interacts with each other, it is almost a given that during this season most people get infected with these viruses that make them sick, but we pray that their health will soon be restored so they can return to the meetings of the Bible School.
This time we taught about the faithfulness and power of God through the story of the birth of Isaac, about how God is able to break natural limits to fulfill His purposes. Just like in the case of Abraham and Sarah, where their advanced age was not an obstacle for God to do what He had planned: to give Abraham the son of the promise so that His redemptive plan could continue to advance.
This led us to reflect on the limitless power of God and, at the same time, His faithfulness to fulfill His promises despite the impossibility.
The children were able to reflect on the infinite power of God, but also to be encouraged to trust in Him and find in His promises support, certainty, and security to face the challenges of this life.
Thus, we continue to advance, planting the Gospel in the hearts of these little ones, encouraging them to know and understand the unconditional love of Christ, while sharing with them the wise counsel of God. We hope in the Lord that tomorrow this work will have an eternal impact on their lives and help them walk a path of faith and hope alongside Jesus.
Psalms 89:1 NIV[1]
I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.
